  Set to take place on International Jazz Day on Monday April 30th at Shoreditch Town Hall in London, this year’s Jazz FM awards will be honouring newcomers, innovators, and established practitioners of the jazz idiom.  

Double Grammy winner, US singer, Cécile McLorin Salvant, is due to perform at the ceremony, and is also a nominee in the category of International Jazz Artist of the Year, alongside Thundercat and Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah. Elsewhere, British acts are well represented and include Shabaka Hutchings, Jacob Collier, Yazz Ahmed, Jordan Rakei, Evan Parker, Rob Luft, and Zara McFarlane.

Also up for a gong are Esperanza Spalding, Robert Cray, Taj Mahal & Keb’ Mo’, and soul veteran Leroy Hutson
