Now the new music! On March 17th Jarrod (via Dome Records) will be releasing his very special cover version of Prince’s ‘I Would Die 4 U’ as a single. It’s a stellar interpretation of this timeless song and Jarrod was encouraged to record and issue it after he first performed it publicly – to a very enthusiastic reaction from fans – on a livestream concert during lockdown. You may remember that Mr L’s last single was a cover of the Isley Brothers’ ‘Footsteps in The Dark ‘ – another that he released after enthusiastic fan reaction to live performances of the song.
Jarrod’s ‘I Would Die 4 U’ feature accompaniment from Tyrone Hendrix (drums) and Chance Hayden (guitar), both fixtures of the live music scene in Portland, Oregon, where Jarrod lived for most of his life until deciding in late 2022 to relocate to Nashville in search of new musical challenges.
Jarrod Lawson’s ‘I Would Die 4 U’ is not out till March 17 when it will be available on all streaming/download services via Dome, but it is already available to download exclusively at Traxsource… https://www.traxsource.com/title/1948519/i-would-die-4-u
