Lord knows we’ve endured some bad news over the last few years but here’s some good news for a change! JIMMY JAM and TERRY LEWIS are soon to be back amongst us … musically that is!
The original dynamic do (never mind Batman and that little squirt!) have turned artists and will be releasing their first album as such on July 9th. The long player is simply ‘Jam & Lewis Volume One’ and will be available via Flyte Tyme Records/BMG.
As a teaser/taster they’ve released the first single… ‘Somewhat Loved (There You Go Breaking My Heart)’ – a collaboration with Mariah Carey with whom the pair have worked before, of course… most famously on ‘Thank God, I Found You’. This new one is both dramatic and powerful.
The collaboration sets the tone for the rest of the ten tracker which sees Jam and Lewis working with people like Toni Braxton, Mary J Blige, Charlie Wilson, Babyface, Boyz II Men and the Sounds of Blackness! Sound like a contender for album of the year, for sure… full review here @SJF very soon.
