New soul wonder kid, JALEN NGONDA has just released a new single – a sumptuous, old school ballad, ‘Anyone In Love’. For someone relatively, young, this ‘Anyone In Love’ is a mature piece of work. It’s a big production (a collaboration with Daptone’s Mike Buckley and Vincent Chiarito, both previous members of Charles Bradley’s Extraordinaires) delivered in Mr N’s distinctive soul falsetto. It also proves that his ‘Come Round’ album and associated singles were no flashes in the proverbial pan! Must be the Liverpool air (remember he studied music at that city’s famed Paul McCartney-supported Institute of Performing Arts.)
