By common consent, MAYSA’S recent ‘Music For Your Soul’ album (above) is another of this year’s best long players. Ms L’s team at Blue Velvet Soul Records (her label) have chosen a rather special track to issue as a single especially for the UK. It’s a busy, pacey, beater, ‘His Love’.
The song is a joyous paean to love – and it could be secular or religious love . The subject of the song, “His” if you would, has quite transformed the protagonist’s life by bringing a perfect love.
Sonically, the flavours might remind you a little of Incognito (no surprise!) and Maysa sings as sweetly and a soulfully as ever and adding extra texture to the track is a certain Frank McComb. This ‘His Love’ will lift your soul. Recommended! Out now!
