Latest release from the Herb Middelton stable is an intriguing outing from an artist labelled “THE JOURNAL”. Don’t know, nor can find out much about “the Journal” save that he’s nicknamed “the baby Barry White” – so what better vehicle for him to record than a classic Barry White song – ‘Ecstasy’!
It seems that the Journal has cut the song with the blessing of Barry White’s family – indeed when he was introduced to Barry’s widow and daughter they could not believe how much he sounded like the maestro!
And indeed the vocal approach on this new ‘Ecstasy’ is uncanny – it’s big Barry to a T! The tune’s already winning radio plays and is out now on Moon Town Records.
