NEW WORLD ORDER (or NWO) is a new(ish) soul band comprising Lenny Harris, Gilbert Pryor and Wondel Brown. The threesome came together via their mutual passion for artists like Earth, Wind and Fire, Sly and the Family Stone, and James Brown. Though given their name, they must have a love of Curtis Mayfield too… ‘New World Order’ is/was the title of the Gentle Genius’ last album!
Right now NWO are working on an album, but they’re heralding it with the single … ‘Essence’- a light and frothy soul romp that in places channels the classic EWF sound. It’s a catchy and soulful little cut and we look forward to the album!
