COLIN MECKES is a new age muso who works out of Zurich, Switzerland and right now he’s working on a debut album, ‘Searching’. His people tell us that his mission statement is to craft his own sound fusing diverse elements like 70s soul, contemporary jazz and anything else that takes his fancy.
As a taster for the April release of ‘Searching’, Colin has just released the single, ‘Cosmic Affairs’. As the title implies, it’s a laid-back sort of thing – chilled even. There’s a heavy bass line, gentle Rhodes washes, a laconic vocal and, yes, a cosmic vibe. It’s out now.
