Back in June CORNELL CC CARTER released a super slab of modern soul, ‘Not Possible’. It was rightly a massive UK soul chart hit and subsequently we enjoyed new mixes of the song from the ever reliable DJ Spen & Gary Hudgins. All were ultra a catchy and once again were soul chart riders.
We were told that ‘Not Possible’ was from an upcoming CC album and the good news is that his team have given us the heads up that said album is almost good to go!
If all goes to plan (and why shouldn’t it?) , the long player – named ‘Next Life’- is officially out at the start of October via Izipho Records. Sneak previews indicate it’s going to be a classic – stuffed with modern soul gems all delivered in that wonderful silky, smooth soul voice. Full review here very soon.
