‘Inside you’ is the delicious new single from California soul man JOE LEAVY. We’re told that it’s the lead single from a forthcoming album… and if the rest of the LP matches the quality of ‘Inside You’ then we can hardly wait!
‘Inside Love’, you see, is a beautiful and sensual ballad but it never gets cloying or sentimental. Vocally, Leavy comes on like many of the great soul love men… think Will Downing, Peabo Bryson, even Marvin Gaye circa ‘I Want You’. Leavy’s style and sound though is never derivative. He’s his own man and his lovely song is topped by sweet trumpet and flute solos from Steve Hanuman and Norbet Stachel respectively.
