In March, CJ’S CONNECTION (the working moniker of CLIFF JAMES) resurrected a veritable oldie … Freeez’s 1983 cut ‘I.O.U.’ The release had a mixed reception from reviewers though most agreed that CJ had added a tad more soulful input than was apparent in the Arthur Baker produced original.
Always keen to go one better, Cliff has had his ‘I.O.U.’ remixed by the always dependable Nigel Lowis. There are two new re-workings with the “Dub Mix” almost capturing a Jam/Lewis 80s vibe while Nigel’s “Vocal Mix” offers a fresher feel.
