A week or two back we mentioned the rumours of a new INCOGNITO long player…. well now the album has been confirmed. The band new set, ‘In Search Of Better Days’, is set for a June 24th release on Shanachie Records.
Incognito main man Jean Paul “Bluey” Maunick says of the album: “We are living in troubled times and I see the plight of the young in my neighbourhood, the refugee crisis in London and all over Europe. Corruption. Child abuse. There is political, religious and financial misguided ideology all around the globe. My trade is music and social awareness, and as such, I am fully aware of those In Search Of Better Days, including myself!”
‘In Search Of Better Days’ will be Incognito’s 17th studio album and features an A list set of vocalists…! Imaani, Vanessa Haynes, Tony Momrelle, Katie Leone, Vula Malinga and as earlier reported, the incomparable Maysa Leak who Bluey describes as “The voice of Incognito“. She fronts two songs, including ‘Everyday Grind’ which Bluey says is his favourite on the album…. “It’s about a break up in a relationship that both Maysa and I could identify with and thus tell the tale convincingly because we both lived it!’
