Latest release from DJ Spen’s Quantize label offers another cover of a proper soul classic. This time around we can enjoy again the War song ‘Galaxy’ from house heavyweights THE MUTHAFUNKAZ, though to avoid confusion, the cut is actually called ‘Galaxy 2023’. You see, The MFZ originally issued a version of the song in 2009 but it’s now offered in brand, spanking new mixes.
Those mixes come via Thommy Davis, Greg Lewis, & DJ Spen himself who take the tune into new far off galaxies! The powerhouse vocals are down to Sheila Ford with Spen throwing in the odd, spaced- out interjection for good measure. These new ‘Galaxy 2023’ mixes are good to go right now!
