DR MEAKER is a UK music collective. Headed up by producer, keyboardist and vocalist Clive Meaker, they blasted out of Bristol to deliver a highly charged take on drum and bass with a flecking of soul.
The band are a big draw on the live and festival scene and have a couple of well-received albums under their belt. Right now they’re working on a new LP – ‘’Distorted Sun’, from which the lead single’s just been released. From our point of view,, the single demands attention as it features the soulful vocals of TERRI WALKER!
As ever, Ms W delivers in her usual uplifting way on an action packed track which rides catchy brassy, brash horn riffing, hectic drum and bass rhythms and tempo changes. It’s an odd mixture but has a strange appeal. Interested? Out now via Flightcase Recordings.
