Latest offering from Bluey Maunick‘s Splash Blue label is a catchy and captivating track featuring one of his old sparring partners… bassist/writer/producer KHARI CABRAL (SIMMONS). Khari has quite a track record that goes back to the 90s but earlier this year he made a comeback of sorts with the solid, bass-led vibe, ‘Show Me The Way’. Vocals came courtesy of Cleveland Jones while Khari’s band, Jiva laid down the groove.
Jiva are out there with Khari on this new ‘I Believe’. It’s a sprightly, crisp tune ( a touch of the Incognitos in places – what a surprise!) with ensemble vocals, a lovely vibes break and head-nodding appeal. Out now and like the aforementioned ‘Show Me The Way’ from an upcoming album.
