ICE, ICE BABY

Last month fans of  genial Mancunian actor/musician MAX BEESLEY got mildly excited when he announced he was reforming his old 90s band, HIGH VIBES  – well not quite “reforming”, more recreating. To that end he called on mates like Steve Gadd and Dean Parks to make music with him and the new High Vibes have an album almost good to go.

We learned all this with the release of the LP’s  first single ‘Zeus’ – an intriguing slice of cosmic funk with Max’s vibraphone taking centre  stage. Mr B now follows that up with an equally cosmic but wilder , ‘Ice’. The spaced out keys by the way come via Max’s good friend Christian Sands.
