UK soul followers will be aware of veteran DAVE MASCALL. He is an accomplished and very experienced guitarist having worked as a sideman with many visiting American soul artists over the years. More recently he’s been forging his own career and last year saw some action with his intriguing ‘BBQ House’ which came via his Acid Lounge set up… now winning a reputation for classy, upbeat, jazz flavoured grooves. There are actually four albums in the Acid Lounge series and Mr M’s working on number five right now.
However as a taster he’s all set to release a new single – an optimistic 120bpm dancer that is ‘Sweet Feelings’. It’s a big summer groove and features Marc Juan on vocals and, of course, Dave’s jazz slanted, Benson-esque guitar work. The cut comes in three mixes – “Club”, “Stripped down” and the important radio edit.
