We’ve featured quirky, left field band SAY SHE SHE several times these last several months. The oddly named Brooklyn band is actually an 8 piece led by three female vocalists – Piya Malik, Nya Gazelle Brown and Sabrina Cunningham.
The band’s latest single, ‘Norma’, is as above – quirky and left field. Their people tell us that the song is “an urgent call to action to support the protection of women’s rights and preserving the right to choose.” For sure, it’s not your traditional soul or dance but it packs a punch and it’s out now via Karma Chief Records.
Oh that name Say She She? We’re told that this is a tribute to Chic – “C’est chi-chi!: It’s Chic!”… now you know!
