At the back end of last year NEW WORLD ORDER (or NWO) impressed us all with their ‘Lost Inside Your Love’ – proper, classy, contemporary soul! We learned that NWO were actually soul vets – horn players Lenny Harris, Gilbert Pryor and Wondel Brown. Between them (and as a unit) they have worked with people like Lena Horne, Barry White, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, The Four Tops, the Temptations, Miki Howard and Chante Moore!
The outfit’s ‘Lost Inside Your Love’ (with stunning vocal from TERRI GREEN) was a UK soul chart rider in both its original and “Soul Lovers” remix and the band’s latest single is all set to repeat that feat. NWO’s new tune is ‘The Answer’ – a driving, tough, funky workout.
Sadly Wondel Brown died in the summer but the remaining two players (Harris and Pryor) have decided to release ‘The Answer’ in tribute to him and the simple message that, yes, love is the answer has never been more appropriate! Vocal on the track is down to Lenny Harris while production’s down to him too alongside Jamil “Face” Johnson. It’s out now!
