161 are a brand new disco and dance outfit from Manchester. 161 is the STD dialling code for the Rainy City. They’re marshalled by house music veteran JASON HERD (aka Juan Kidd) and they’ve just uncorked their debut single, ‘I Love Your Love’… a proper old fashioned disco blast with (like all the best anthems) femme-led, impassioned sing-a-long vocals. The vocalist, by the way, is Nicole Battick. The tune comes in the original mix and a wonderfully named ‘Fat Arse Dub’ which ramps up the energy quotient.
