Last spring we enjoyed some great music on an EP from top Italian mixer/producer ALEX DI CIÒ. The mini set was imaginatively titled, It’s Spring’. Now as autumn comes knocking, Alex is offering us some new music…. no, it’s not ‘It’s Autumn’! … Rather the new collection is simply called ‘The Man’.

The release offers two new tunes, credited to Gazzara vs Alex Di Ciò. First up is a sweet, mid-tempo groove – ‘It’s Because’. It’s a proper head nodder/foot tapper and quite lovely. The other tune is a tad faster – ‘Magic’. Here, there’s a funk undertow, plenty of chinking guitar and a soul jazz Hammond organ running through the track… great stuff!
