Soul veteran, EDDIE FLOYD’S been busy over the last few months. First off, he’s launched his own, new look web site – www.eddiefloyd.com , and – maybe more importantly – he’s been back in the studio. Inspired by his grandchildren, EDDIE’S penned and recorded two brand new Christmas songs – ‘I’ll Be Your Santa Claus’ and ‘I Wish To All (A Merry Christmas)’. The former is a slinky soul groove while the latter features a great little seasonal hook and a catchy harmonica break. Mr F’s in great form throughout and so too are the grand kids who lend vocal support. The good news (and in keeping with the Christmas spirit) is that both songs are available as free downloads from the aforementioned web site … just log on and follow the links.
The recordings have given EDDIE a short break from the job of promoting the talents of his son, ANTHONY. Father and son will be visiting to the UK next spring for promotional work and SJF will provide full details nearer the time.
