Over the last few years STONE PAXTON (a key member of Rick James’s ‘Stone City Band) has entertained us with some lovely, contemporary soul music.
A little bird has told us that tomorrow (February 22nd) is Stone’s birthday (our sleuths worked out he’ll be 52!) and to celebrate, Mr P is releasing a new single… ‘History’.
This ‘History’ is a little more mellow than his last few outings, but none the worse for that. Indeed, it’s quite lovely. A steady, melodic mid-tempo groove with plenty of charm and Stone’s vocals are right on point. We’re told that ‘History’ is from an upcoming long player, ‘Kundalini Awakening’. On the strength of ‘History’, we’re looking forward to it!
