Latest offering from SOCIETY HILL RECORDS sees an incarnation of FAT LARRY’S BAND with a cover of an old Fat Larry’s Band tune… ‘Can’t Keep My Hands To Myself’.
The original was released back in 1980 on Fantasy and since then the band has gone through numerous iterations. Of course, “Fat” Larry James passed in 1987 and his “band” folded. But since then various musicians have attempted to keep the brand alive and the current Fat Larry’s Band features original horn man Jimmy Lee and vocalists Art Austin, Dr. Salaam Love and Carl Gray.
Between them and Society Hill producer Butch Ingram, they now deliver a convincing take on ‘Can’t Keep My Hands To Myself’ which retains the sweet, insistent charm of the original. Out now!
