GROOVE ON!

Denver-based, smooth jazz guitar man GREGORY GOODLOE is a new name to us, but Stateside he’s a mainstay on the smooth jazz scene. Indeed in 2019 he sat atop the Billboard jazz chart with his ‘Stylin’’ and we’ve learned that he’s  worked successfully with people like Adam Hawley, Darren Rahn, Jeff Canady, Bob Baldwin, Ben Tankard, R&B vocal trio Surface, Howard Hewett, boy band B2K, , and The First Lady of Gospel Music Shirley Caesar!

Intrigued? Well may we ask you to check out Greg’s new single, ‘Groovin’ On’ (out now via Hip Jazz Record). You’ll connect straight away with this melodic foot-tapper which recalls a certain George Benson in  his prime. No coincidence there. Mr G is a big fan of Mr B  while the cut is co-written and produced by Grammy winning Michael Broening who worked with Benson on his 2007 duet, ‘Mornin’’, with, of course, Al Jarreau!

Gregory says: “I have always admired Michael’s amazing ability to tell a story through his music. We had talked about collaborating for more than a year. It was the vibe of ‘Groovin’ On’ that Michael decided would fit my personality. Putting the song together was a dream come true. I wanted to create a song that was easy on the ear, but true to the groove.”

GREGORY GOODLOE’S “Groovin’ On’ is out  now and comes recommended for lovers of quality, guitar-led smooth jazz.
