MIRACLE THOMAS hails from her Lynchburg, Virginia and she began singing aged just 3 in the local gospel choir! In her early teens, she relocated to Washington DC and began to write songs and perform in local talent shows. Her uncle is Carl Anderson and he was quick with advice for young Miracle notably to take care and beware of the pitfalls of the music biz.
Ms T took that to heart but shouldered on, releasing her first single in 1993. That was followed by a number of others that all saw local DC chart action. Since then Miracle has been tutored by Patti Labelle and worked with people like R Kelly, Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, Father MC, Regina Belle, The Manhattans, The Dells, II D Extreme, Eric Roberson, Kim Waters and the late Gerald Levert.
Right now Miracle is busy promoting her own new five track EP, ‘Expect A Miracle’. Outstanding track is a lush, gorgeous emotional ballad, ‘You Take My Breath Away’ – a hint of Anita Baker about this one. The track though that is winning all the plays is the tight beater, ‘Love Me’…. a very strong modern soul groove.
Focus cut seems to be the slow ‘You Say You Apologize’ which comes in two mixes but we’d rather recommend ‘You Take My Breath Away’ and if you prefer proper foot tappers do try, ‘Love Me’
