For their first (we think) release of 2025, DJ SPEN and his QUANTIZE team resurrect the oft recorded dance classic ‘Gonna Get Over You’. You’ll probably know that the belting beater first appeared in 1981 courtesy of France Joli. Since then we’ve bopped to a version by Beverlei Brown and more recently to a cover from Shaila Prospere.
As you’d expect Mr Spen and his team reimagine the tune and bring in singer-songwriter ANGELICA DE NO to deliver the familiar vocal which she does with full on passion and a dose of spoken sensuality! The crew craft an infectious disco sparkler that retains all the familiarity whilst offering a fresh perspective. Interesting!
The team behind the various (4 in total) mixes is DJ Spen, Thommy Davis, and Michele Chiavarini and between them they set out Quantize’s disco/dance stall for the coming year very powerfully!
