The renowned Manchester trumpeter, bandleader, composer, and producer Matthew Halsall today unleashes the single ‘Water Street,’ a taster from his forthcoming new album An Ever Changing View due to be released on September 8th via his own long-running label, Gondwana Records. A hypnotic and softly meditative track defined by Chip Wickham’s soft flute over a babbling brook of percussion, the oriental-tinged ‘Water Street’ epitomizes Halsall’s unique style; an unclassifiable amalgam blend of spiritually-inclined jazz, ambient electronica, and world music that promotes a blissed-out feel-good vibe.

Halsall and his band are also due to go on a fifteen-date tour of the UK to promote the new album (whose cover is pictured below) in September and October, which includes a concert at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall on 21 September.
