For his latest project, music multi tasker ALAN EVANS (Soulive, the Alan Evans Trio, The 7 Day Weekend and Crushed Velvet and the Velveteers) rekindles his link with London-based keyboardist and producer CLAUDIO CORONA. Evans played drums on his first solo EP ‘Laying It Down’.
The duo are currently preparing a full album, ‘Imagination Unlimited’ due in May via Vintage League Music. In the meantime, the lead single is doing the rounds. It’s a big, booming, Hammond-led ‘Glamourpuss’. There’s a tight and funky undertow and a definite 70s blaxploitation feel – think a car chase through the streets of NY or San Fransisco!
