GOBLIN are a Brighton-based band. The five piece, Ellen Rose (vocals), Charlie Allen (guitar), Lee Davis (keys), Sam Widdicombe (bass), and Joe Foard (drums) got together in 2021 to explore their mutual love of jazz, neo-soul, garage and indie and (hopefully) to forge their own music based on those varied elements.
See how successful they’ve been by investigating their latest single, ‘Headroom’ which will be good to stream/download from Friday 3rd March. The track is a follow up to their debut single, ‘Dreamer’ and it offers a gentle relaxing sound – a decent “chiller” with a future soul vibe and sweet, understated vocal from Ms Rose. That soothing sound, however, seems at odds with the cover (above) which suggests a different kind of music. Odd!
