We were first acquainted with Toronto-based soulstress APHROSE (real name Joanna Mohammed) in May via her wonderful and acclaimed single ‘Good Love’. The sweet and lovely ballad, though totally modern, had a real old school romantic feel, so it’s good to announce that Aphrose has a new track almost good to go.
On July 7th you’ll be able to get your hands on her‘YaYa’!This one channels a different groove . It’s bright and “up” – a finger clicker, a foot tapper – you get the picture. The committed vocal, by the way, underlines the soulful promise that ‘Good Love’ delivered!
Aphrose’s ‘YaYa’ will be released digitally on July 7th via LRK and more good news… that same day it’s also out on vinyl as the B side to ‘Good Love’.
