Latest single from Italian soul and jazz multi-instrumentalist ALEX PUDDU is a lovely, lazy, summery groove ‘Leaving This Town’. It seems that this single is the official follow up to Signor P’s acclaimed album, ‘Love After Dark’ though we’re told that ‘Leaving This Town’ was actually recorded back in 2020.
Alex tells us that ‘Leaving This Town’ was inspired by the likes of the Bee Gees’ ‘Spirits Having Flown’, GQ’s ‘Disco Nights’ and Michael Jackson’s ‘Off The Wall’. Indeed there’s more than a whiff of the Jackos about the lithe vocal from Philly soul man CaiNo (aka Marcus) and the whole feel of the cut is pleasing, catchy and soulfully poppy! Out now!
