Last month the enigmatic PALE JAY announced he was working on a new album – ‘Low End Love Songs’, due September. The announcement came with the release of a single, the intriguing and gentle, ‘Easy, Lee’.
PJ now follows that one with another equally intriguing track, ‘The Garden’. We’re told that the laid back offering is about “safeguarding the inner sanctuary that music and its playful essence provide from external expectations and the relentless demands of capitalism”. We did say enigmatic didn’t we?
Sonically this ‘The Garden’ is lush and oddly infectious. Out now via Colemine.
