Golden Ape Records is a new label that gets into its stride with a properly old school, sassy 80’s tinged dirty Disco Funk affair, ‘Save Me’ from the aptly named Funk Messiahs.
The tune is packed with live instrumentation and sports infectious rhythms to match the sultry vocal from the lead singer simply known as Lucy. The original mix will please the soul and funk crowd while for those who like things a little different there are remixes from Crazy P’s Jim Baron, who delivers a percussive Disco vibe under his “Ron Basejam” moniker; ‘Dark Wobble’ (aka Michel Williams), who injects some Scouse House street style flavours with quirky Electronica meanderings; and Ben Pest brings more eclectic electro fx !
‘Save Me’ (Incl. Ron Basejam, Dark Wobble and Ben Pest Remixes) will be released on Vinyl April 15th on Juno / Full release April 29th 2022 on Golden Ape Records.
