‘Butterfly’ is the latest single to be lifted from the Gg album ‘Kintsugi Heart. However, for the single, the tune has been remixed – by no lesser a mixer than Rod Layman. Where the original was a mid-tempo item, Layman lifts the tempo to a lively, eminently danceable crispness and adds a funky bass line from Gg’s partner, Mark Harold. Sensibly, though he retains all the atmosphere of the vocal and the elusive flute motifs of Michael Henderson-Grant.
