Remember FIVE STAR? Sure you do. In the 80s the Pearson siblings enjoyed a slew of chart hits and now 40 years down the lin, one of the band’s distinctive lead voices, DENISE PEARSON is still working to keep the brand alive.
There’s to be a 40th anniversary live show at London’s Pizza Express on September 30th while Densie is working solo to release an EP that will feature new versions of two Top 10 Five Star classics ‘System Addict’ and ‘Rain or Shine.’ In the meantime Denise has just issued the EP’s lead single – a reggae infused, poppy dancer ‘Forever Young’. It’s a late summery sound which brings all the optimism we associated with Five Star back in the day. We also believe that there’s a DP album coming in 2024.
