Newcastle band SOULUTIONS (essentially Steve Lee and Louise Mehan) became big favourites with the modern soul crew back in 2014. Tunes like ‘Listen’ and ‘Philly Line’ became modern soul favourites and are still mainstays on the best contemporary DJs’ playlists.
The same discerning jocks are currently playing to death Soulutions’ latest offering… the good time, upbeat ‘I Got To Party’ … a guaranteed floor filler. And now to give the tune longer legs the cut is soon to be available in a brand spanking new remix, courtesy of Blazing Encore (aka Paul Hemingway).
The new tweak keeps the catchy Latin flavoured beats and all the party atmosphere of the original but just adds a new dimension. Quite correctly, Louise’s delightful underplayed vocal is kept well up in the mix and the crazy trombone solo is also retained!
