Never mind the Age Of Aquarius…. this is the age of the music festival and we’re delighted to bring you news of a brand new jazz fest…. and, quite possibly, the first of the New Year …it’s the SOUTH COAST JAZZ FESTIVAL which will run between 23-25 January 2015 with a line up that includes Liane Carroll, Joe Stilgoe, Ian Shaw, the Bobby Wellins Quintet, Pete Long’s Echoes of Ellington, The Mingus Underground Octet, Mark Edwards Cloggz and Jack Kendon.

The Festival is the brainchild of jazz Vocalist Claire Martin OBE and saxophonist Julian Nicholas. They’ve combined their love of the South Coast and their professional jazz profiles to curate this brand new festival which will happen at the bijou Ropetackle Arts Centre, Shoreham-by-Sea.

The three day event will celebrate the talent from the region and present exclusive appearances by both established and up-and-coming artists alike. There will also be adult and junior jazz improvisation workshops, an award-winning photography exhibition and a guide to ‘essential jazz tracks’ from a still secret, top jazz broadcaster.
