Latest release from Mark Knight’s prolific Fool’s Paradise label is a big, big, party tune, ‘Feel The Beat’! The clues in the title of course!
This energised six minutes’ worth of prance and dance goodness is down to JAY VEGAS. No relation to my mate, Johnny, our Jay is a leading light on contemporary disco-house scene and he’s worked with people like David Morales, Mousse T, Norman Cook, Danny Rampling, Grant Nelson and, of course, Mark Knight. Jay also runs his own imprint Hot Stuff Records, which is now celebrating its 10th Anniversary but for this beaty ‘Feel The Beat’ he’s back working with Mark Knight.
The cut is heavily percussive and comes replete with brassy hook, swishing strings and jazzy keys and a feisty, funky femme vocal. Sadly, the leather-lunged-diva is anonymous on my copy. Like we said this one delivers six minutes of punchy, dance energy though for the wimps there’s a shorter edit!
‘Feel The Beat’ will be released on December 22nd 2023 on Fool’s Paradise.
