If you fancy your soul a little different this Summer…. a tad more exotic maybe, then try ‘En Route’ from French soul chanteuse, CAROLINE LACAZE. Now working out of Hamburg, CAROLINE has previously performed and recorded with THE MIGHTY MOCAMBOS but now she’s just unleashed her debut solo set – ‘En Route’.
The 12 tracker tells the story of an imaginary road trip and features her unique rocky take on soul music and throughout the set she’s backed up by those MOCAMBOS again. Sung in French throughout, it offers a different spin on traditional soul –and one cut, ‘Ici’, has a Gallic charm all of its own.
