Just two weeks ago, Brit soulstress EMILIE (Cunliffe) released a lovely, emotive ‘If I Didn’t Stay’. Well received, it won plenty of plays and no wonder. It’s a good tune!
So good that, producer/mixer NIGEL LOWIS has given it an extra tweak to win even more plays for the song. He’s calling the new mix “the 60s soul” mix and he properly delivers. This new ‘If I Didn’t Stay’ has a real classic Southern soul feel… percussive and brassy, and something quite different to Mr. L’s usual sophisticated Philly flourishes. Emilie’s soulful vocals are right at the top of the mix, squeezing maximum sensuality from the song!
