Mancunian soulstress GIZELLE SMITH has won plenty of friends with her debut solo album, ‘Ruthless Day’ (see both our interview and reviews archive) and now, as one of the LP’s key cut wins a high profile remix, that circle of friends and fans is all set to widen.
Track in question is ‘Dust’ and the high profile remixers are the legendary Dimitri From Paris working alongside jazz-funk outfit, Cotonete. They collaborated to transform the Brit soul gem into an optimistic slab of good old fashioned disco! The mix comes in four options – including the obligatory instrumental….no Gizelle on it obviously but the Cotonete Orchestra work up a full head of dance floor steam that will set heads nodding, feet tapping and a whole lot more!
