The (maybe) oddly named PARLOR GREENS (below) is a new soul-jazz-funk trio made up of music biz veterans – guitarist Jimmy James, organ grinder Adam Scone and drummer Tim Carman. The threesome first came together about 12 months ago to enjoy a jam seession in Colemine’s Portage Lounge Studio.
That jam session produced a blistering soul-jazz builder, which, now dubbed ‘West Memphis,’ has just been released by Colemine. It’s a tough, old school funky tune and we believe that there’s more Parlor Green music on the way. Something to look forward to.
