DOUGH BALL DISCO…

The PIZZA EXPRESS chain is currently beefing up its music portfolio. Its London, Dean Street restaurant has long been a home for quality live jazz while the  Holborn and Birmingham outlets have staged many memorable gigs. Then of course, there’s Pizza Express’ new record label (see https://www.soulandjazzandfunk.com/news/pizzaexpress-launches-record-label/ ) and  now the chain is re-launching it famed “Disco Fever” weekend which is set to  run between 1-3 June at Pizza Express Live, Holborn

The series begins with an opportunity to see Phil Fearon and Galaxy performing all their top tracks from their successful career. Fearon and Galaxy take to the stage on Thursday 1 & Friday 2 June. The weekend includes Los Charly’s Orchestra on Saturday 3 June, whose signature sound blends the Disco sound of the 70’s with heavy Latin spiced flavours. We’re told that customers who enjoy some spice, can turn up the heat with Hot Honey Dough Balls and a fiery Paloma Hot from the newly launched Spring menu!

Pizza Express is lining up plenty more live performances at  various venues  over the coming months, including shows from Geno Washington, the Edwin Starr Band, Jakki Graham  and Chris Ballin. Find out more @ https://www.pizzaexpresslive.com/whats-on
