MARY J BLIGE and MAXWELL are lining up a three date UK tour this coming autumn. Billed as “The King and Queen of Hearts Tour” they duo will play London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Despite eye-wateringly high ticket prices (sadly the norm these days) demand is bound to be high, especially given the attention to Maxwell’s recent ‘BlackSUMMERS’night’ album while Ms Blige is set to release her new set at the time of the tour.
Maxwell has tweeted; “‘Mary is the epitome of soul. She embodies all that is woman and speaks for the everyday struggle and triumphs of all women. I can’t wait to get on the road with her”.

In the meantime, Maxwell has just released two new mixes of ‘Lake By The Ocean’, the lead single from ‘BlackSUMMERS’night’. The ‘Melo X’ mix is a little bumpier than the original with added electro effects, while the ‘Michael Brun’ mix is mellower than the ‘Melo’ mix. Both are as ethereal and enigmatic as the original
