C’mon admit it! SONIC SOUL ORCHESTRA is a great name for a soulful house producer. It is, of course, an alter ego of JEAN-PAUL FIRMIN and his music has always been big and, yes, soulful!
Witness what Jean-Paul and his Orchestra can do via their latest single – an intoxicating soulful house anthem, ‘Happy People’. It’s totally feelgood with a funky undertow and an ab fab vocal from PHILLIP RAMIREZ who, in places sounds a little like dear George Michael (apart from the spine-tingling falsetto parts)!
The original SSO tweak is a good ‘un for sure but for variety there’s a Philly disco flavoured mix from UK producer Jay Vegas and deeper grooves (“Raw” and “Dub”) from Dallas’ Demarkus Lewis. C’mon people – be happy!
