Stateside, KIMBERLY BREWER is an in-demand session singer and songwriter. She’s worked with legends like Vanessa Williams, Will Downing, Earth Wind & Fire and someone called Stevie Wonder!

Naturally she pursues her own solo career (as commitments allow) and her latest single is starting to make real waves. It’s  a jaunty, contemporary soul groove, ‘Don’t Make Me Wait Too Long’. Some might recognize the song. Composed by Stevie Wonder back in 1980 (as a vehicle for Roberta Flack), we’re told he thought it would be a good choice for his star backing singer to record. Kimberly says: “He suggested ‘Don’t Make Me Wait Too Long.’ He also suggested that I make it a duet with R&B sensation Joe. To my surprise, Mr. Wonder called me with Joe on the other line. Yes I ‘fan girled’ out for a second but I quickly gained my composure. Business is business!”

So, yes, quite a combination! Kimberly, Joe and Mr W … no wonder the cut’s making waves! Out now via Kim’s own Kimberlily Records
