One of the real highlights on ANGIE STONE’S wonderful ‘Dream’ album was the urgent, soul beater ‘Dollar Bill’.
Now the tune’s been given a makeover by the ultra busy ROB HARDT – one half of Cool Million. What with working with Natasha Watts and tweaking his own album, we just don’t know where young Rob finds the time…. but we’re grateful he does!
His ‘Dollar Bill’ mix is a fine compromise between the contemporary and the retro and there’s a lovely, sweet, little ending. Rob, naturally, doesn’t mess with Ms Stone’s on point vocal… who would?
Angie, by the way, has just announced that she’ll be joining the Chic weekender in downtown Fulham on Sunday 26th June…. a quick internet trawl will fill you in!
