Soul veteran EDDIE FLOYD’S latest single is a tribute to JAMES BROWN. A joint effort with his son, ANTHONY FLOYD, ‘Don’t Forget About James Brown’ is like all of the Godfather’s own classics split into part 1 and part 2. The tune’s a sparse, insistent 60s throwback with a honking sax solo and a live atmosphere. EDDIE’S clearly in good humour and fine vocal form while ANTHONY sprinkles in his own raps and rhymes.
