  • DELICIOUS HOT BUTTERED SOUL…

There can be no arguments – ISAAC HAYES’ seminal 1969 LP, ‘Hot Buttered Soul’ is a genuine music icon. The four tracker was a game changer in all sorts of ways. It  pushed the boundaries of soul music, while setting Hayes on the path to superstardom, thanks to  groundbreaking renditions of ‘Walk On By’, ‘By The Time I Get To phoenix’, a lovely cove of Al Geen’s ‘One Woman’ and the oft-sampled ‘Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic’.

Every home should have one and if yours doesn’t, then Craft Recordings now give you the  opportunity to get your hands on a very special limited edition. This new audiophile pressing  of  ‘HBS’ will be limited to just 3,000 copies and crafted to the highest standards. We’re told that “the vinyl will  be cut from the original tapes (AAA) by Bernie Grundman and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI with Neotech’s VR900 compound. Using a one-step lacquer process (as opposed to the standard three-step process), this technique allows for the utmost level of musical detail, clarity, and dynamics while reducing the amount of surface noise on the record. The limited nature of these pressings guarantees that each record is a true representation of the original lacquer and is as close as the listener can get to the original recording”. Now you know!

More ? Well, “the vinyl disc—extractable through a unique, frictionless ribbon pull tab—is housed in a reproduction of the album’s original tip-on jacket from Stax Records and protected by an archival-quality, anti-static, non-scratching inner sleeve. New in-depth liner notes by veteran music writer and journalist A. Scott Galloway complete the package.”

How much? you may ask… well we believe that the  album will retail in the UK for  a “mere” £88! Interested … Click here to pre-order Hot Buttered Soul’.
